The Eastern Star Chapter of the Seymour Order installs officers
Seymour Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 134 hosted the annual installation of its officers at the Jackson Masonic Lodge in Seymour on Friday.
The following officers were installed: Worthy matron Janice Brock; worthy patron Marvin “Chig” Anderson; matron partner Robbie Anderson; Patron partner Terry Byrns; Secretary Pat Cummings; treasurer Nancy Byrns; conductor Paula Stafford; associate conductor Karen Walker; Chaplain Rick Smith; Marshal Cathy Coffelt; organist Judi Brown; Adah Loretta Riehl, PGM; Ruth Linda Myers; Esther Margaret Kroman; Martha Wanda Gray; Electa Ollie Knott; overseer Denver Gray, grand marshal; and Sentinel Tom Stafford.
Terrie Barber, Installation Officer, was assisted by Lisa Wagoner, Installation Marshal; Jerry Lemmon, installation chaplain; and Mary Price, installation organist. The photographer for the evening was Stephen Kroman, Grand Lodge F and AM photographer.
After the installation ceremony, the guests proceeded to the dining room. A cake bearing the Eastern Star emblem and the names of the worthy matron and the worthy patroness was served with sandwiches, fries and a fruit platter.
The worthy matron chose as a motto “Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible” and observes the words of faith, love and hope. His Scripture is Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace if you trust in him so that you may overflow with joy through the power of the holy spirit. His emblems are the open Bible, praying hands and angels, and his funny symbols are butterflies, chimney sweeps and Precious Moments.
Wives, daughters, mothers, widows, sisters and other women of the family of master masons, three-year-old rainbow daughters or working daughters and master masons are eligible to become members of the Order. of the eastern star. The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which men and women belong.
