St. Cloud Natives Part of American Bank Leadership, No Longer in Business
Mike Markman and Scott Lahr, both natives of St. Cloud, are part of the US Bank’s Minnesota Community Banking leadership team following recent role changes.
A press release from the US Bank said that Markman’s role had shifted from regional president to overseeing branches throughout Minnesota (with the exception of the Twin Cities metropolitan area) as well as La Crosse, in Wisconsin.
Lahr has been promoted to a new role as president of the St. Cloud market and sales team leader and will be responsible for overseeing commercial banks throughout Minnesota (excluding the Twin Cities metro), the statement said.
Markman and Lahr will both be based in St. Cloud for these roles.
Malco Products awarded the safety award
A company in Annandale received the 2020 Meritorious Achievement Award in Occupational Safety, one of 221 employers recognized by the program coordinated by the Minnesota Safety Council, according to a statement from Malco.
Malco was on trial on several years of injury data versus national statistics as well as their progress in implementing a comprehensive safety program, the statement said.
According to the press release, this is the 13th time that Malco has been recognized since 2004.
Malco is based in Annandale and manufactures hand tools for the HVAC trade.
St. Cloud Window staff receive promotions
Seven St. Cloud Window staff have received promotions, according to the company.
Those promoted and their new positions include:
- Scott Doeden, Vice President of Operations
- Tom Ostrowski, Regional Sales Manager
- Gary Thnell, Regional Sales Manager
- Andrew Christmas, Senior Estimator
- Kelly Worwa, estimator
- Scott Batty, Director of Project Management
- Jessica Carvette, project manager

Oakmont Capital Services has three new employees in Albany
Oakmont Capital Services has three new employees at its Albany site.
The team expansion includes a new sales professional and two members of the operations team, according to a company statement.
These additions include:
- Mindy Lund, Business Development Officer
- Jodie Schimek, credit analyst
- Kristy Doll, documentation specialist
“Mindy will help us expand our reach into various industries, while Jodie and Kristy will support the application process with credit and finance approvals,” said Megan Zoba, vice president of documentation and finance at Oakmont.
Oakmont Capital Services is a direct, independent lender providing commercial equipment financing. The company is based in Pennsylvania but has an office in Albany.
