Hi-Line Boys and Girls Club Receives Grant to Upgrade HVAC – Hi-Line Today

HELEN, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Commerce announced that the city of Le Havre will receive nearly $300,000 in grants for the HVAC upgrade at the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Line.

The block grant for community development amounts to $297,050 and was one of four awards announced on Wednesday.

Golden Valley County receives $522,800 to replace the Lavina school boiler, Lincoln County receives $600,000 to connect centralized water and sewage to the community of Libby Creek, and Missoula County receives $600,000 to fund the expansion of the Povarello Center to provide housing and support services to veterans.

CDBG grants are available to eligible local governments, counties, cities, and towns. They can be requested by local governments on behalf of special purpose districts, unincorporated areas, or nonprofit organizations. Counties can also apply for planning grants on behalf of tribal utility authorities.

Funding for CDBG comes from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
